Life Is What You Make It

God holds you accountable for your own decisions. Not your friends’; not your parents’; not your enemies’.  You are as close to God right now as you want to be. You might think, “No… I’d like to be closer to God, it’s just that…” You’re fooling yourself. Your life is […]

TOF- Good Or Best?

June 24th, 2015

Memorizing Comedy Night skits is good.

Meditating on Scripture is best.

Remember Sunday school? We easily spent a half-hour together just thinking—looking at words and thinking about them.

How easy was that, right?

The way – path. Lots of people walking down the path. Choices. Fork in the road.

Fool – I don’t want that to be me! Someone devoid of wisdom.

Right – righteous. “I’m good.”

His own eyes – only he thinks he’s good. God doesn’t.

But – praise God for that! We don’t have to be fools!

He that – ME! And YOU! Praise God!

Hearkeneth – listens intently and intentionally. Perks his ears up.

Counsel – the greatest Counsellor is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6). Psalm 119:24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

Wise – makes sense. I want to be that.

Studying Scripture is fairly easy. You just have to think. Think about each word. It’s amazing what pops out to you when you meditate on Scripture.

So how’d it go this week?

Did you wake up Monday and get in the Word?

Think about it right now. Stop reading and think. Stop reading! Come on… stop reading and think about Monday!

Now what about Tuesday?

How about this morning?

It’s GOOD if you read the Bible. It’s GOOD if you meditated on your Comedy Night skit lines.

It’s BEST if you meditated on Scripture.
