Maybe it was SO good that you had to read it again.
Or maybe I got too lazy to type up a new one, so I pretended to not know you’d had it already.
Or maybe I am subliminally trying to get you addicted to coffee floats. Sorry.
Whatever it was, welcome back to another week of choir rehearsals. It seems the older I get, the more I say, “…the older I get.” I mean… just yesterday I was writing the note for last week (which was 2 weeks ago), and the day before that, I was moving to California, and a couple days before that, I was running around outside playing “Tag, no base” with my friends while my parents were in choir practice.
That’s been a while, now that I do the math. I never thought I’d be saying, “twenty years ago, I used to…” but here I am.
It’s interesting how time flies. I made a daily tear-off calendar for the teens a few years ago. Each day had a picture and a little reminder of the Teens of Faith. Nowadays, it seems like the monthly calendars tear off just as fast.
What’s that mean for choir?
Whatever you want. Stay faithful. Thank you for being faithful. Redeem your time. Use today’s practice well. Make use of moments. Cherish all the right things. Use your life for eternity. Enjoy coffee floats.
