Short Practice Today

November 25th, 2016

When we have a shorter practice like we do today (ending at 5:10pm for teachers meeting), use the time as efficiently as possible. Concentrate on the words, the notes, the other parts and everything else you know to do. Give extra care today to cram as much as possible into the little time we have.

In addition, make use of your time at home. A couple weeks ago, Bro. Davison preached Sunday school and I got the week off teaching. You know what I did? Slacked off. That’s what. I accomplished nothing worthwhile in the time I normally spend studying for MY Sunday school lesson.

My intention is always to use the freed-up sermon prep time for writing or reading or something else productive. My intentions are good. My execution is bad.

The point is… don’t be like me! Use your time “off” and fill it with worthy things.

-Bro. Ryan
