The culmination of months of work happens this week. How amazing is that. Truly awesome, and not in the modern sense of the word.
This is it.
I like what Bro. McCracken said last Wednesday. We can so easily get puffed up, “proving” to others how good of servants we are. Whoa. Wait a minute.
We’re just unprofitable servants (Luke 17:10). We’ve only done that which was our duty to do. Nothing more. Nothing thank-worthy. No extra blessings for us. It’s just our reasonable service (Rom. 12:1-2).
What profit do we bring God, Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills? None. We don’t make God richer by serving Him with our voices.
Our goal is to please Him. And, if He chooses to bless others through the message of our music, that’s all the more reason to praise Him.
What a privilege. What an honor to serve the King. Let’s do it well this week.
