What Are We Supposed To Do With Ourselves Now?

Now that Comedy Night is done, what are we supposed to do with ourselves? We’ve been so intensely practicing that we forgot about… gaming! Oh yeah. Mafia. That’s what we can do. Thanks, Alexa. And for the lesson time, we finished up the 3 M’s and 3 A’s for men […]

TOF – Wow.

October 26th, 2014

Itsy bitsy spider, obnoxious laughing and leapfrog… all in one night. Wow.

If you missed the bonfire last Friday, you have no idea what I’m talking about. One of the games was a scavenger hunt taking you to various clues hidden around Pastor’s property. Part of the requirement to get to the next clue was to read the rules on how to get there. Maybe it was singing, maybe it was skipping. Either way, you all looked hilarious out there. Especially the leapfrog part!

Great testimonies, though. Some of you might not have been good at the games, but your testimonies were a blessing.

Any time you’re asked about where you are in your daily Bible reading plan, you should have a quick answer. If you read your Bible that morning, that is. Do you do your devotions? Ladies, are you doing more than just your Bible study on Saturdays? Men, how about you? Did you read this morning?

What a shame, if not. What a blessing, if so!

Your testimonies on Friday were a blessing to me. It is encouraging to hear from you in that setting. Remember the challenge I gave you: love others by getting outside of your clique. If you are know to have only one friend or group of friends, you’re in a clique. Loving others involves learning to have normal, non-awkward conversations with more people than just your closest friends. Branch out. Love God. Love others. Do right.

THANK YOU to those who volunteered to help with the things listed in last week’s note! As soon as class was over, Anastasia volunteered to help set up the chairs each week, and Lexi volunteered to wash the chalkboard on Saturdays. After they came up to me, two others asked me if the job had been filled. Thank you all for being so willing to serve. If you would still like to contribute, you can help Anastasia or Lexi when they’re doing the jobs. Also, thank you for volunteering to help with nursery, ladies. We should have more than enough… that’s a great problem to have. Thank you!
