11-9-2014 Pastor’s Note

November 9th, 2014

In this month our thoughts are turned to that uniquely American holiday called Thanksgiving . It falls late in the month this year, so that there are only 3 weekends between the Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas week . It’s remarkable that we are already near 15 years into this new millennium! It is appropriate that Veteran’sDay, coming up on Tuesday of this week, is also recognized in this month of Thanksgiving . We can to give thanks to God for the sacrifices of those who have served their country well . Between now and November 27th, why not find one thing each morning that we will purposefully give thanks to God for during that day? Our thanksgiving list will really have no last page . With what will you begin your Thanksgiving list today? Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.—Psalm 100: 4–5
