A Special Thanks

August 27th, 2013

-bulletin note from Sunday, August 25, 2013

A special thanks to the church family for all you did to make the Heartland Baptist Bible College interns, Tim and Garrett, feel welcome and appreciated! They left Thursday afternoon to return for H.B.B.C. Fall semester. Our first experience in this type of training and practical ministry application was, in my view, a great success. They were, of course, a big help to us as well.

One of our dear families donated the Jeep to the church several years ago, and that was a real blessing to have for the interns to use. Our missions guest room gave us inexpensive accommodations for them. So many families and individuals stepped up to help us provide a whole summer’s meals for those two hearty appetites, as well!

We find reference to training institutions for preachers in the Scriptures, and we also find accounts of those who helped in providing for the day to day needs of those called to prepare for ministry. Paul was grateful to all those who had aided him in providing for such needs as he fulfilled the ministry God had called him to. He credited those who did so with assisting in the furtherance of the gospel. Thanks to all of you for your ministry to these who are training for the ministry. Their fruit will also “abound to your account.”
