Good Commuter Resources

August 13th, 2013

-bulletin note from Sunday, August 11, 2013

I’m blessed to have quite a short commute to work.  I haven’t ever encountered a traffic jam between the house and the office in 20 years.  If I pop in a sermon CD as I head out the driveway, the preacher doesn’t even finish the Scripture reading before I get to the office!  For many of our folks, this is not their case.  If you have road time that you must put in every day on your commute to work, I want to give you a couple of church websites you ought to go to and download some sermons onto a CD or a memory stick, to listen to on your way to work each day.  One is: www.southwestbaptistchurch.com.   Pastor Jason Gaddis will always give you preaching that helps you.  You will find sermon series, and messages from special speakers as well.  Go to the website, click on Resources, and then click on sermons.  Lots of good stuff!  Another good preaching resource site is www.lancasterbaptist.org.  At the website, click on Media, then click on past services.  You’ll find many choices of sermon series and special speakers.  Pastor Chappell and the staff and guest preachers will benefit you a great deal.  You will notice other categories to click on, under Media.  One is Internet radio.  You’ll have good Biblically sound music to listen to through your computer or smart phone.  These resources provide a good alternative to the limited choices you have in religious radio stations.  Make your commute an inspiration instead of an aggravation!
