I Have a Love/Hate Relationship With Summer

November 25th, 2016

I love summer for a lot of reasons: warm weather, youth camp, teen activities, volleyball, extra sunlight, outdoor activities, it’s not COLD!… lots of things.

But one of the best parts of the summer is all the cool people we have around here, namely our college students and interns! For a couple months per year, our choir bumps up in size and volume (no offense—that’s not a fat joke!), and then when the college students leave, they leave holes that they NEVER fill with replacement singers. Come on, students! Don’t leave us hanging!

Another thing I love/hate about summer is summer camp. I’m coming off an incredible week, but a sleep-deprived one. If I’m waving my arms and you see my eyes droop a little… sorry about that. I’ll try not to fall asleep on you if you do the same for me. This can be a 2-way deal here.

Thanks for being in choir. I love this part of my job.
