What Are We Supposed To Do With Ourselves Now?

Now that Comedy Night is done, what are we supposed to do with ourselves? We’ve been so intensely practicing that we forgot about… gaming! Oh yeah. Mafia. That’s what we can do. Thanks, Alexa. And for the lesson time, we finished up the 3 M’s and 3 A’s for men […]

Reflecting on Past Missions Trips

November 25th, 2016

I always appreciate hearing your testimonies. It is encouraging to read through the notes you have written me, or the testimony cards you have filled out in the past.

I know God moves in your lives, and quotes like these keep me going in ministry. They make big trips (like the LA trip in the summer) worth all the work. In preparation for our Romania Trip next summer, I compiled a list of quotes from you. They were encouraging to me and I hope you are encouraged, too…

  • “The trip helped open my eyes to the souls dying and going to hell that I often forget about.”
  • “The LA Trip was not only a missions trip but a growing experience.”
  • “This missions trip really made me question if the Lord is calling me into full-time ministry.”
  • “This has been one of THE most impactful and important trips I have ever been on.”
  • “I’ve never seen a person as a lost soul… I used to look at a homeless person in disgust, but this trip helped me…”
  • “I would never have known what it was like until I got exposed.”
  • “I was so glad for the spiritual emphasis on this trip, and I made several choices that I have already started to do…”
  • “I have a whole new perspective on the world and how much they need God in their lives!”
  • “The LA Trip opened my eyes to see so many things that I should be doing, like being able to talk to people in Temecula about the Bible and God, not just when I’m at church or on a church trip.”
  • “I was always so scared to knock on the door, but doing it for another trip, it was different.”
  • “I used to think someone else will tell them, but I need to.”
  • “I have a strong burden for door-knocking because that is what it means to fulfill the Great Commission.”
  • “It gave me the experience of just seeing a small look into the life of somebody in the ministry.”
  • “I always used to think that I had no stuff, but after seeing all the people on the trip, I see that I am very privileged… I now see to not take advantage of things.”
  • “This trip taught me not to be scared of God’s plan.”
  • “I need to be more thankful for everything in my life.”
  • “Overall, I think this trip has made me more aware of lost souls, and made me pray more for missionaries and church planters.”
