Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

The Message of Leviticus – Jesus Is the ONLY Way To Heaven

April 22nd, 2017

I think Leviticus is incredible. Weird, but incredible.

It’s full of pictures. Not like a comic book, and not like a coloring book… more like a book of object lessons.

Each object lesson somehow points us to God. Last week, the object lesson was that we are to be thankful to God for all He’s done for us.

Are you saved? That’s something to be thankful for!

To be saved means that you have accepted the free gift of salvation from God and trust only Jesus. Have you done that? When?

We are coming up on Easter – the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. If you couple Leviticus with the New Testament, you realize that everything points to Jesus Christ’s death, His burial, and His resurrection.

Most religions emphasize the ritual – DO this ritual and DO that sacrifice to please the gods. But the old Jewish rituals (in Leviticus) were not the WAY Jews were made right with God… they were a PICTURE of “The Way”—Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

There’s the difference.

Jesus’ work is done. He fulfilled the picture of the passover, the sin offering, the trespass offering, the peace offering, the… EVERYTHING offering! Jesus’ work completed everything. Done.

Religion – DO.

Jesus – DONE.

Incredible. Even in Leviticus, we see the Good News so clearly. Let’s serve Him. -Bro. Ryan
