Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

TOF – “Did You Bring Your Dollar?”

December 26th, 2013

Note from Sunday, September 29, 2013

Everyone forgot on Wednesday. Everyone except Bro. Ken, that is. He was seeding people with $1s for the offering… on certain conditions. They had to run around the room yelling “I LOVE TEXAS!” That’s child abuse, Bro. Ken!

Well, today we’re taking our offering again. We are taking it on Sundays and Wednesdays now to help us remember.

Giving is not about the money. Giving is about spiritual growth. Do you desire to be an obedient Christian? Are you trying to grow in the Lord? Giving will be a part of any stable Christian’s life.

This is the third note in a row with the same title: “Did you bring your dollar?”

So… did you? If not, see Bro. Ken. Maybe he’ll make you do something ridiculous again.

If you forgot today, there’s always Wednesday.

-Bro. Ryan

I Just Keep Trusting My Lord (song 136)

I just keep trusting my Lord as I walk along,
I just keep trusting my Lord and He gives a song;
Tho’ the storm-clouds darken the sky o’er the heavenly trail,
I just keep trusting my Lord He will never fail!

He’s a faithful Friend, Such a faithful Friend,
I can count on Him to the very end.

Trust in the Lord (song 138) (round)

Trust in the Lord with all Thine heart, lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path.
Trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord.
Trust in the Lord; and He shall direct thy path.

If you Want Joy (song 147)

If you want joy, real joy, wonderful joy, (true joy)
Let Jesus come into your heart; (your heart)

Your sins He’ll wash away,
Your night He’ll turn to day,
Your life He’ll make it over anew;
