What Are We Supposed To Do With Ourselves Now?

Now that Comedy Night is done, what are we supposed to do with ourselves? We’ve been so intensely practicing that we forgot about… gaming! Oh yeah. Mafia. That’s what we can do. Thanks, Alexa. And for the lesson time, we finished up the 3 M’s and 3 A’s for men […]

Bye Bye.

*sniff. Bye-bye seniors. Jummanne’s already gone and Anneliese is ditching us too! We still can’t get rid of Brandon though… at least not until he starts school in a couple weeks.

It’s another weird transition every year to lose our seniors. I hate it! It’s like we’re just getting them to where we want them and then they leave. A lot of you remember Brandon as an annoying, talkative little 7th grader and just this past year he started getting cool, and now he’s gone! Happy birthday, buddy! (You too, Renee!)

It’s been a huge pleasure to have our seniors around this year, and we will definitely miss them (I’m talking like they’re already gone! Sorry.) You know what it means when the older ones leave? The rest of the people become the “older ones.” Know what I mean?

Everyone in here can now step up a little. The first message I preached when the 7th graders graduated into our class was “It’s High Time to Grow Up.” God will use every one of you in ways that you can’t imagine right now. Some of you He will thrust into leadership… before you feel you’re ready. Some of you will resist it but still be expected to lead just by being one of the “older ones.”

Everyone’s life is in transition. Kids, high school, college, marriage, children, career, middle age, retirement, grandchildren, death. Bummer! What you choose to do with your life is up to you. The Teens of Faith is like a little microcosm of what’s to come: transitions, some people making the most of their time… some people wasting their time. What’s your life going to be like? Live right, right now.
