We Made It!
We almost had to cancel the Beach Bash!
Thank the Lord that Bro. Burns came through with the little bus just in time, and we had a few last-minute drivers step up to help! Chef Bro. Ken made it an awesome activity with gourmet hot dogs and a nice warm fire. Amen!
I hope the Beach Bash is a good, refreshing time for you. We always try to evaluate every activity that we have and make sure that it’s something that we want to keep doing. Each activity that we have takes a lot of work in preparation and followup, and we want to ensure that all that work is worth it! Our prayer for the Beach Bash is that you make some fun memories together, and that you are encouraged before heading into the school year.
Remember the spiritual emphasis this year too… an altar represents a commitment to God. That kind of a promise is not one that I’d want to back out of too soon! I think if I made a promise to God—committing it to Him at an altar—I’d want to be sure I kept it!
It does your youth workers and each other good to hear how God is working in your lives. Bad news ALWAYS travels around… good news and God’s blessings aren’t heard that often. It’s not something you just gossip about. Know what I mean?
Choose to spread encouragement by speaking up when there’s testimony times. It did my heart good to hear from you last night, and praise God for His working in your hearts. Keep it up!
