Wasn’t last Wednesday cool?
Who knew that Habakkuk had anything to say to us? Well… apparently YOU knew, because you were the ones who dug it all out, right from the Bible! I felt like I was in a roomful of scholars; it was great to see you getting it.
Nothing is more rewarding for a preacher than to be understood. The spiritual growth all comes from God, but the human aspect of preaching and teaching requires study, presentation AND listeners. When the Bible gets all the way to where the listeners understand it, the human aspect is over and the Spirit goes to work on man’s spirit to convict, encourage, challenge, comfort, etc. My joy in working with you is when you move from hearing to doing.
Also, yesterday was a blast! Afterwards I just kept saying to my wife, “That was fun! That was fun!” Everything went well, and we’re always encouraged to be with you. It’s never a bother and we love every bit of it. You need to come over more often!
If you couldn’t make it last night, I’m sorry you had to miss. Do right!
