Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

Only One More Week?!

Wait… didn’t we just get back from camp, like… last week?

It seems like it! What a fast year it’s been. Have you taken some spiritual inventory? See where you’re at going into this summer?

Some of you graduated and only have a couple months before college (crazy!) Some of you are now seniors and only have one teeny-tiny little year left to college (crazy!) Some of you just got into 7th grade and I remember when you were like… born (weird.)

In all that time that’s flown by, how have you grown for Christ? I can tell you that some of you are completely different people now than you were when we first met you. God has done a complete transformation and it’s amazing to see you growing in the Lord. I can also tell you that some of you haven’t changed a bit… and that’s a bad thing!

I have specific prayer requests for many of you, and one dominating request for people of all grades in this class is that you simply get it. Wake up… it’s high time! I’m afraid that some people either don’t see it or don’t care about where they need to grow. That’s scary!

Here’s some general advice for all of you – something you probably haven’t heard before: Love God. Choose to love Him more than anything else in your life. When you do, you can’t help but love others. I mean really, really care about other people. I mean, passionately desire their good above yours. That’s what being a Christian is.

“I’m a Christian.” You might be saved, but being like Christ means a whole different thing. Are you like Christ (meaning… a Christian?) Take an assessment of this past year in the Teens of Faith and see if you’ve come up short.

If you need to make changes… change! Get saved! Get baptized! Surrender! I love you, teens. Do right!  – Bro. Ryan
