Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

$2,200 Already!

We’ve already broken last year’s record… and there’s more to come!

For those who worked the garage sale yesterday, good job! We’ve already sold more than we made total last year (around $2k), and we have several more things to sell. Tonight after church is another time to sell to our church, and we still have some items that we’ll be selling later on ebay and craigslist… we’re awesome. All of you that receive money need to learn to be VERY grateful. If you were involved in both the workday and the garage sale, you just made over $100 each! Yes, you did great work, but I say you should be grateful because Mrs. Rench put in hours and hours into sorting and pricing, and the youth staff put in LOTS of personal time as well. Bro. Ken donated his muscle, his time, his truck gas, his back… all for you! And he’s old! (Mrs. Gina’s not, but SHE gave tons of time and energy too!!) Also, Mrs. Jamie and Abe were working double duty for you.

All that’s to say, never expect money to come flooding your way. Be willing to work for it, yes (and you did great work), but also learn to be thankful for it. It will really help you in life to learn a grateful attitude.

This is a special day because of our Garagel Sale, but also because it’s Promotion Sunday. This was a note about the Garage Sale because everything else will be for the new 7th graders we have in our class! I’m SO excited about the day and have been thinking about it for weeks. I’ve been praying for Connor, Nico, Benjamin, Evan, Matthew, Jenna, Anastasia, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, and Sarah all week. (Sorry if I misspelled your name!)

New teens, thank you for coming today. I want to help you in any way that I can. Please call, text or email me if you need anything! I love and want to get know you more over the coming years. Love God. Love others. Do right.
