Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

Ironwood is next, next week!! (July 9-14)

I can’t wait! As long as Abe doesn’t come early, I’ll be there all week with you, and I want it to be the  best week of your summer! Every year before camp one of my goals is that you go to camp ready to eat up the preaching.

Know what I mean by that? I mean, eager to get your “toes stepped on” about some areas in your life. I mean, edge-of-your-seat type anticipation of what GOD will do with your future! I fear that sometimes I dream bigger for you than you do! I want you to go to camp this year with totally open hearts, willing to let Him do anything He wants with you.

If you’re not saved, get saved! That’s the biggest thing! If you’re not baptized, tell me! We’ll get you baptized as soon as possible! If you’re holding on to something, let it go! If you’re just floating through life kind of aloof, choose to become a passionate person… for God! He’s worth every bit of passion you have, so choose Him.

How do you go to camp like that? The title says it all: Pray.

Are you praying for camp? I am. I’m praying specifically for all of you, and I have specific things I am hoping God will do, especially in some of your lives. Some of you I don’t know well and I’m just asking God to bless and help you have open hearts. Others of you I’m praying that God will call to Bible college, God will call to preach, or that you’ll finally see certain spiritual needs in your life.

Pray now, and all week, for God to use this week of camp to spiritually strengthen you. He might not need to make huge life-changing decisions in you… then again, maybe He does. Just be open to Him.

I’m super excited that we added another one this week (Derek Cannon), and now we’re taking 44 to camp! That’s awesome. Ranger Rench (my brother Garret) says that Ironwood always says that the spirit of our group is a blessing to the camp, and because we’re one of the biggest groups going this year, we need to always try to enhance the spirit… never detract from it.

Are you excited?! I am!! Couple more weeks, grr. -Bro. Ryan

COMEDY NIGHT – Great job!! Your skits were hilarious and you all served very well. I was very excited to see you all asking for jobs, looking for ways to help, and being good examples of servants.

This will be for your entire family at Riverton Park after the evening service.  If you take a right out of the parking lot and follow Nicolas around the corner, you’ll see Riverton Park at the next curve.  Please bring a bag of chips and lawn chairs (if you have any).  This is for your entire family.  We’ll have some food, fun, fellowship and a short meeting with your parents.

Meet in the fellowship hall at 9:45 am.

Please pay Bro. Ryan or Mrs. Jamie.  To know how much you owe, see the sheet on Bro. Ryan’s office door. (Updated since Comedy Night)

This will be at the McCreary’s house. The bus will leave the church right after the evening service and will return about 1 hr. after the close of the service.

Please be at the church no later than 7:30am on Monday so we can load the buses.  We should return around 1:00pm on Saturday.
