Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

No. I don’t mean that church up in Menifee.

I mean the revival services we just had with Bro. McCracken! Amen! What a blessing it was to see many of you here every night. Your faithfulness during the school week is almost as valuable as the preaching itself!

When you get a real passion for the Bible you can’t help but be revived. That’s what the Bible does for you… it makes you MORE alive. That’s how it can always be fresh even though it is so old. That is why it has been studied and studied by every true Christian throughout the centuries and has never been exhausted.

The Bible is amazing, and I love to see you catching a glimpse of God through His Word.

You’re a couple weeks into your BIBS notebooks by now, and I hope you spent some time this morning applying the last few days’ studies to your lives. From our last Wednesday night together you said that it only takes maybe 10 or 20 minutes a day. Honestly, that’s not a lot. Even if you were doing your devotions from somewhere else, you could always do BIBS in addition to your current devotions.

“Well that takes too long, Bro. Ryan.” Really? Really?

I think if you can be on Facebook and Pinterest and get your homework done and play Angry Birds and watch TV and sleep for 8 hours and… I think there’s SOME time in there to be in your Bible. Maybe it will mean sacrificing some… poop (remember Wednesday night’s sermon? Your iPod, your computer, your time, your friends…). In God’s eyes it is all dung and only what you do for Christ will last.

Give up sleep for Christ? No problem.

-Bro. Ryan
