What Are We Supposed To Do With Ourselves Now?

Now that Comedy Night is done, what are we supposed to do with ourselves? We’ve been so intensely practicing that we forgot about… gaming! Oh yeah. Mafia. That’s what we can do. Thanks, Alexa. And for the lesson time, we finished up the 3 M’s and 3 A’s for men […]

September 15th, 2011

God brings us a lot of encouragement… all the time.

LAST FRIDAY we had a very encouraging time around the campfire as you gave testimonies and challenged each other to live for Christ. THE NEXT DAY there were lots of you out for soul-winning, and we got to spend time with our favorite people in the church… you.  Sundays are always encouraging for me because we’re around each other and in God’s Word, but LAST SUNDAY was especially encouraging because someone that Bro. Bagley and Tyler invited on door-knocking came to church! The most encouraging part… Tyler didn’t scare them away!!

ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY I got to spend some time thinking about the Teens of Faith’s past and future, and I’m always encouraged to think about where most of you have come over the last year and where I dream for us to be with this next series coming up. THIS COMING SUNDAY you’ll hear more about the series, but I promise right now that all of you will benefit from it if you’re open to the learning and the change God desires to bring in you.

DIScouragement is a sin brought about from wrong thinking (Num. 21:1-7), and we can sure do a lot better at staying ENcouraged every day. David encouraged himself in the Lord. Even when no one else is there to lift you up, know that God has given you plenty to be thankful for.

A lesson there: encourage others. Be an encouragement somehow this week. Be an encourager your whole life, and you’ll never have need of friends.

Bro. Ryan.
