Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

Random Thoughts

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope you’re enjoying your time off school this week, and I hope you’re using your time to grow in the Lord.

Our mascot (no, not a llama, camel or emu!) is growing rapidly; (s)he’s (they’re?) the size of a kumquat, whatever that is.

Have I told you lately that Bro. Ken is my hero?

And have I told you lately that I love my Bible? Not just because it’s goatskin, either (my Bible… not Bro. Ken.)

I’ve STILL been loving my gummy bears I mentioned last week… but my wife found the stash and it’s now rapidly depleting. She says she has some “excuse” to eat now. Whatever.

I loved seeing you serve a couple weeks ago when we were setting up those tables and chairs. Some of you are absolutely exceptional when it comes to seeing the need and working, and your spirit to serve is encouraging.

I’ve been studying more and more for the Youth Winter Rendezvous, and I’m VERY excited to think about how God will use our time. Both nights we’ll have some room devotions that I hope God will use to help me get your thoughts on where we’re at as a group, how I can improve as your youth pastor, and where we might see God taking us in 2012.

Last week was a very fun time in Philemon: “Your faith in God ought to produce a love for the saints.” Basically… Are you saved? Then let it show.

Tonight’s time will be spent in 1 Thessalonians – another letter written by Paul. Have I told you lately that Paul is my hero? Even more than Bro. Ken!

Anyway, enough random thoughts. You’re a blessing and we are very glad to see you tonight. Thanks for being faithful and for growing in the Lord. You do OTHERS good when YOU do right (another lesson from Philemon.)

Have a great week!

Bro. Ryan

We will still door-knock at the normal time this Saturday, if you can come.

Please have your remainder here for the Rendezvous this Sunday. See Mrs. Jamie if you wonder how much is left.
