Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the Bible Study Series!

I’ve missed it. We’re only going to spend a few weeks on this review part, and then we’ll take somewhat of a fresh spin on it in the future.

But not for a couple weeks.

Today is our reminder week. Next week we’ll be in the sanctuary all evening to hear Bro. Tucker, and possibly the next week we might have Bro. Tucker come up here. We’ll see.

Anyway, like I’ve said before, we’re going to spend a little time wrapping up the Bible Study Series before venturing into our new Wednesday night series in a couple months.

I hope this Bible Study Series is taken seriously. You’re being given some serious tools to know how to understand God’s Word, and if you’re not using them and reading your Bible, you’re not hearing from God! I considered doing a series on self-discipline in order to help you get into the habit of reading your Bible regularly (that is, if you don’t already!), but I decided on something else instead.

Anyway, learning to study your Bible is of the most important disciplines you’ll ever accomplish in life. We just came through the olympics – a display of the most disciplined people in the world. I’m more impressed with someone’s discipline in the area of Bible study than I am with an olympian. The Bible lasts longer.

NEXT WEDNESDAY 9/26 – we will be in the sanctuary all evening as Bro. Tucker Braun preaches.
