Periodic Reminders

Half the Old Testament is the word Remember. No, that’s not true. It’s 48%. I just rounded up. As Israel forgot, so do we. Today’s insert is a simple reminder of some of the standards we work to maintain as we sing for the Lord. My prayer is that you […]

Weekly Announcement Sheets

January 21st, 2011

Every week we hand out an announcement and song sheet, but periodically I’ll add a short note in there for the teens to read.  Daniel Solie helped me compile the following notes into one post.  Here’s what’s been written:

Dear Our Kids, 🙂

Thank you all so much for being such a blessing to us!  Every single week, the majority of our time spent in thinking, planning, writing notes, and just “doing stuff” is spent on you, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!  If you’re reading this, you’ll know that I prayed for you this morning (unless this is your first time) and that we desire your spiritual growth more than anything else!

A special thank you to all 11 of you who came out to help paint on Thursday!  Although we used about 20 gallons of paint just for touchup on the red wall alone (just kidding), we couldn’t have done it without you!  Serving the Lord is a fun and rewarding adventure, and nothing you do with your lives will be better!

This afternoon at 2:30, Mrs. Jamie and I will be in a concert at Murrieta Mesa High School.  I invite you to visit if you are interested in professional music, because even the world can be an example of excellence for us.  If they put such a high importance on singing for themselves, we ought to put a MUCH higher importance on our heart and our practice as we sing to the Lord!

Have a great day!  Do right, love God, and love others.  —Bro. Ryan

Hey everyone!

I’m excited about a few things… First, we get to be in church!  I hope you always look forward to hearing from God’s Word and being around God’s people.  You could not be doing anything else that would be more beneficial to you than obeying the Lord.  I’m telling you, it’s the best thing you could ever do, and I hope all of you grow to love our church very much.

Second, we just came through an incredible revival with Bro. McCracken—one of our favorite preachers!  It was such a blessing to be able to come to church this week, and if you missed any of the services, you should get the CD and listen to it.  By the way, if you ever need a ride for ANY service, just text or call me: (951) 719-7191.   God worked on all our lives, and I hope you put yourself in places that He can work on you!  Think about a blessing from the week and we’ll take some time to share those in class this morning.

Third, for the men who went, the meeting up in Newport Beach was great!  They host an annual meeting just for men (and one for ladies later), and several hundred men from SoCal and even AZ came to listen to some good preaching.  We heard Bro. David Gibbs this week at the meeting, and we get to hear him preach at our church in a few weeks.

Finally, if you haven’t read it on the website, we are going to be hosting several churches from around here for what we are calling a Preaching Rally.  We will be working hard on getting everyone in their place to help, and if you want to be involved, just jump in there and get to work on some things.  I hope it benefits others, but I really hope YOU are blessed by it!  Bro. Bryan Samms will be preaching for us, and we’ll get to hear him at camp this summer!  I can’t wait till February, and join me now in praying for your generation.

We love you!  Thanks for being the coolest part of our lives since we’ve come here!  Do right.  Love God, and love others.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you have the mindset that church is a blessing and a privilege, and it’s an incredible opportunity that we have to worship our LORD!  We’ve just come through a season that should have constantly directed our thoughts toward Jesus, and I pray that each of you learns to follow God more closely.  Some people in Temecula are going to be dragging themselves out of bed at 11 o’clock, throwing up all morning, and trying to cope with a throbbing headache from last night’s party.  That doesn’t sound like much fun to me!

I’m glad you’re here, and I pray for each of you regularly.  Thank you for being such servants last week with the cookie fundraiser, the calendars, and all you did around church!  We had a great time on Wednesday as we continued the Gender Series, and I hope everyone can make it back when we pick it up this Wednesday.

Have a great day and we will see you tonight!  We love you!

Welcome to Sunday School!

I prayed that each of you would have had a great night’s sleep last night, and that you are all ready to grow in the Lord at church today!

Some of us just returned from an incredible time at the Youth Winter Rendezvous, and Mrs. Jamie’s and my heart is SO full at what God did up on the mountain.

For Sunday School today we will be spending some time on testimonies from the trip, and I will be summarizing a little of what went on.  For those of you who couldn’t make it, my wife and I are truly sorry and hope that it works out next time.  I’d LOVE to take everyone, but I also realize that’s not always possible.  If you didn’t go because you didn’t want to, we’re sorry for that, too!  Not only did God answer all of our prayers for safety and a good time, but he blew us away with how he worked in all of our hearts!

We love every one of you more than we can express, and we hope this year is filled with vital spiritual changes and growth!  Tune in to church today and use your God-given gifts to edify others.

Good morning,

I hope all of you grew in the Lord somehow this week.  If you are a Christian, God WANTS to have a great relationship with you!  Did you talk to him this week?  Did you let him talk to you through his Word this week?

Many of you have made some great decisions to do more and be more for God.  God has gifted every one of you with some incredible tools, and he will absolutely bless your life if you use those gifts to edify others while at church.  Did you encourage anyone last week?  Did you write any notes, say “Amen!” in church, or shake Pastor’s hand and tell him he’s a blessing to you?  You ought to!  It will help YOU to be an encouragement to someone else!

How about helping?  Did you offer to help out around the church?  Did you attend the soul winning time in Redlands yesterday?  (Praise God for the 13 that did!) Every week, LOTS of opportunities surround you, and it will only help YOU if you follow God’s leading in your life!  Give yourself to him, and you’ll never regret a minute of it!  If he leads you to clean off your iPod, clean up your mouth, or be more faithful to church, it’s not because he hates you and wants you to suffer… God LOVES you and wants what’s best for you!  I hope you realize that.  I want to communicate that same love to you and others.  Thank you for being here.  If you EVER need anything, let us know!
