Welcome to Roundup Sunday!

November 2nd, 2012

Howdy y’all!

Hopefully you’ve put a little time this week into practicing your lasso skills… rounding up people for our services today! Rather than having our Sunday School Kickoff Sunday again this year, we decided to combine it with our Roundup Sunday and Chili Cook-off. What a great way to start our Fall season off — 1) emphasizing church attendance and 2) eating free food!

Obviously, the most important part of the day is the emphasis on encouraging everyone to be here for our Sunday school hour. With classes for all ages, trained and qualified teachers, and weekly Bible instruction, how can our 10:00 hour not be a help to anyone who attends? If you do not regularly attend Sunday school, ask yourself, “Why not?” What can it hurt?

I can name a lot of ways that it can help you, but I can’t think of too many ways it can hurt you. Praise God for those who come regularly. Keep it up!
